Sulfaquinoxaline (abbreviation: SQ) are sulfa antibiotics for livestock and poultry coccidiosis. Sulfaquinoxaline can affect the bacterial nucleoprotein synthesis, thereby inhibiting growth and reproduction of bacteria and coccidia. This product can be used with trimethoprim, more potent. This product is toxic to the chick, not long-term use.
Properties
Sulfaquinoxaline light yellow or yellow powder, odorless. Very slightly soluble in ethanol, in water or ether, almost insoluble, soluble in sodium hydroxide test solution. Sulfaquinoxaline sodium as white or light yellow powder, odorless, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol.
