Product description :3'-Deoxyadenosine, was isolated initially as an antibiotic toxic to selected tumors. It's use as an antitumor agent was disappointing however, and like many antibiotics which never quite made it to widespread use in the clinic, cordycepin became a valuable addition to the armamentarium of the biochemically oriented research worker.
